A day or two later, I bought a sturdy dog kennel from the same guy who found the rabbit! We named him Buckeye until we discovered that he was actually a SHE. Now we just call her "Bunny." She's sweet and domesticated, but she won't let anyone hold her unless they can catch her first! She's good about being petted though, and she seems to like children and babies. She likes to dig deep tunnels in our backyard and eat the petals off of my flowers! We feed her dry rabbit pellets and fresh lettuce, carrots, and apples throughout the week. She has the whole upper and lower yards all to herself.
Bunny's kennel full of straw on the first day home. Our "wasky wabbit" uses her kennel only to eat her dry food and for doing her potty business, but she keeps the yard clean! I don't know how I can retrain her, but so far she's healthy, happy, active, and spoiled rotten!
Look at the beautiful bunny! I just want to cuddle her and kiss her furry little nose.
Here, Bunny is checking out our pet turtle. Now we have a "turtle and a hare"--ha-ha.
