April 16, 2016: Time with my kids and grandkids

April 16th: I can't believe our newest grandson, Elijah, is turning four months soon! I had a fun day with him and his big brother Joey. They are the sweetest, cutest boys who are easy to please.

I love this family!!!

April 2016: A very busy month of April continues

Looking back, I sure ate out a lot with my kids and with good friends this year. I also did a lot of babysitting from time to time. So grateful for both FAMILY and dear FRIENDS that enrich and bless my life. What would I do without them? Maybe get something done for a change--like more reading, sewing, and writing....

Our birthday bunch: Me with Erin Schmutz, Stacy Devenport, Betty Sloan, and Sharee Gariety

April 9, 2016: Making a splash in our new bubble relaxation tub!

Ever since our first grandchild was born, babysitting has become second nature--it's like having my own children back for a little while, which helps fill that empty space in my heart. That's one of the reasons I love to have my grandchildren around! On this particular day, I had a houseful. By the time it was time for the kids to go home, it was also time for a fun bath!

Beau and his brother being crazy in the tub
Love this one of Beau and the way that cousin Joey is looking at him
Rub a dub dub, three men in a tub...
I love the way Hudson is looking at little Joey, who was scared to get into the tub at first
Skinny little boys making a big splash!
Hannah takes a quick bath before Joey joins the boys
Best laughing smile on Hudson's face!

Playing with the bubble controls
Joey loved the water once he decided to join his cousins in the fun!

April 2016: Springtime at home in Albuquerque

Springtime is wonderful in Albuquerque, especially at home and with family and friends, and finished projects! I wish every day could be spring or fall, and we can just cut out summer and winter altogether!

One of many hand therapies I did at Carroll Hand Therapy following my accident earlier in the year
April 5th: Cute Tyler boy at Firehouse Subs during a lunch date with Grandma and Grandpa
After lunch, Tyler and Elise spend time with Grandma and enjoy some hoop ball on our side yard

Our master bath area is finally finished, so we can take showers again or soak in our new Kohler "bubble relaxation tub"
We went with smooth cultured marble for lower cost and easy clean up
The only things we didn't replace was our shower curtain and our
brown Kohler toilet, although a white one would have been a better match
Pretty mosaic tile and custom moulding that Mike installed
No more lilac colored walls. Now the bathroom is the same color as our bedroom--Suffolk Tan (an earthy green shade)
So nice to have both rooms done and completely usable once more
Custom maple linen cabinets to match the new vanity
Lovely young sister missionaries serving in the High Desert Ward enjoying dinner with the Hobbs' and Flat Mario
April 6th: Flat Mario at Flying Star (with me and my friend Gina Dugger. Too bad we didn't get our pictures taken!)
