April 19, 2015: Joey's 2nd birthday

What a busy month April has been, but lots of good things to be grateful for and plenty of opportunities to serve others--especially our family. I felt sad that Jared's family wasn't still around to celebrate Joey's birthday with us. They miss out on SO MUCH. But then I remind myself that they are where they want to be, and there are wonderful things that they get to be a part of in beautiful northern California.

April 19th: Celebrating Joey's 2nd birthday with dinner and chocolate cupcakes. He was mesmerized by the candle flames! What an adorable little boy Joey has always been, and he just keeps getting cuter.

April 2015: Jared and Jenny's trip to Albuquerque!

We were so happy and excited when Jared called one day in March and told us that he and Jenny were planning to drive down from Palo Alto to Albuquerque during Mario's spring break! It meant the world to Mike and I and to each of our other 3 children in town.

We tried to pack in as many activities as possible with all the kids and grandkids during their visit. The Albuquerque gang had a wonderful time with Jared, Jenny, Mario, and Milo and wish they could have stayed even longer! I am so grateful they made the sacrifice to come see everyone. I love them and miss them so much!

Saturday, April 3rd: The kids arrive! It was wonderful to see Jared and his family! We visited and ate dinner together and watched the boys play. It was the perfect weekend to have them visit, since we didn't have to attend church because of General Conference.

Sunday, April 4th: Yesterday, Jessica and Sebastian hid a LOT of plastic eggs all over their backyard. Today, the rest of our family met at their home and hung out for a while before letting the little ones go hunting for eggs. The eggs were filled with candy, chocolate, or little cars.

After a fun time at the Dunlap's, we all met at the Dion's Pizza on their side of town for lunch. After lunch, we went to a nearby park to let the kids play. All Joey wanted to do was to be by the pond and throw rocks into the water. It was challenging to keep all the cousins in one place.
