October 31st: This year's Halloween was different because of the Corona Virus pandemic. Due to the social distancing measures in New Mexico (and everywhere else), Jessica decided to have a family Halloween party at her house.
We started out with a Scavenger Hunt around their neighborhood! Jess had a list of about 30 Halloween and Fall items to look for. It took a bit of time, but the kids also got to pick up some treats along the way that were offered by a handful of neighbors. To avoid face-to-face contact, these sweet neighbors set up tables with their Halloween treats and used the honor system.
Jessica is a thoughtful, creative, and generous host! She and Sebastian made Halloween fun and memorable for all our Albuquerque family. We enjoyed homemade Frito Pie with all the fixins, Root Beer in dry ice, Pumpkin bread that Seb made, and Hot Chocolate that Jacob made. Shauna and I pitched in with the toppings for the Frito Pie, and all the ladies bought candy, chips, other treats, and toys for the kids.
The cousins enjoyed their time together, and so did the adults!
