With grandchildren in town, there are always occasions and special events and to attend in addition to family birthday celebrations and holiday happenings.

May 12th: Sofia had a happy year in her Lambs of God preschool this year (held at the Lutheran Church across the street from the LDS Temple). This was her big Graduation day, and we were invited. |
This little angel was so proud of herself! Her favorite part of preschool was playing and having Bible stories, and she learned so much through this fun experience.
Sofia was seriously a perfect graduate! |
Gifts from her mama and papa |

Coolest hand-painted gourd bird feeder hangs outside the Dunlap home. It was a gift from Seb's aunt and uncle. |
Jess' beautiful Peonies on her front porch. I have some that are white. |

May 25th: Our beautiful little Eden's preschool graduation in Los Angeles CA |
I love this precious granddaughter |

My favorite flower that popped up in our courtyard again this year. I think it's a purple Columbine, but it's the only one amongst so many yellow Columbine that overtake the garden when the yellow Daffodils are fading.
The dainty and beautiful yellow Daffodils we get early each spring
New plants for the courtyard this spring and summer
Another plant that came back up this spring. It got really full and pretty before all the flowers died! A fun lunch outing with my girls

Sofia and her mama, the best of buddies |

May 15th: Hannah made out like a bandit on her 8th birthday |
Buddy, the newest member of the Dunlap family
I know that Jess already posted these on her family blog, but I had to add them to mine because they're so hilariously bad--the worst school pictures of Beau, who is adorable in person.
I mean, come on! Why??
Lovely flowers from dear friends |
We had this pretty Mother's Day chocolate layer cake at our house when the Dunlap's came over for dinner that week. Jess also made a delicious teriyaki chicken meal for us on Mother's Day, a tradition which we enjoy every year.
Most of the kids needed microphones to be heard, but not this boy in green. He played the part of the camp director and knew how to project and be witty! |
That's Tyler at the end in the blue t-shirt. I got a kick out of watching him throughout the play with his amusing body language. |
Brandon's birthday outing at Red Robin for an early dinner. Jacob treated me and Mike, and we always enjoy our visits and eat more than we should! |
Brandon and his beautiful mama, the love of his life |
Our neighbors Mike and Dot Contois, always fun to spend time with
I threw this festive meal together for us and the Contois one evening in late May before they left for their Colorado cabin for two weeks. We ate and played games together like always! |
