March 22-28, 2015: Moab Utah trip with the Hatch family--Day 1

March 24th, Day 1--Arches National Park: After the 7-hour drive to Moab on Sunday, we were greeted by Brad and Julie Hatch outside the beautiful condo they rented for the week. Mike and I were so excited about spending the week with them and their family and exploring the area together! The first full day together (Monday), we spent the day in Arches National Park and hiked into Park Avenue, Delicate Arch, Fiery Furnace, and Sand Dune Arch.

Hiking up to Park Avenue, a massive grouping of high rise walls
Noah, Christopher, Nathaniel, and Heidi Hatch

The next stop was to Delicate Arch

Cute little Noah was always up for exploring and hiding from the rest of us

These beautiful Hatch children really bonded with their Uncle Mike

Look at all those sun kisses on Christopher's nose!
The sun, the wind, and the dust were always in our faces! Here's Christopher

The kids LOVED this place and didn't want to leave

Isn't this place the coolest?
Heidi seemed fearless the whole trip and was a pro at everything,
as were her brothers Nate and Christopher

There's my hunky adventure man! He took the Hatch kids under his
wing and became their adventure leader and buddy. I LOVE this man!
A cool shot of the Hatch kids on the sand under a small arch
Christopher was amazingly adventurous for a youngster
Nate trying to look serious, but he was such a friendly, funny guy to have around
Nate really came out of his shell and was a great sport when it came to all the hard stuff!
Noah loved the sand! He and Christopher took turns burying each other in it
Our first meal at the condo was prepared by Brad and Julie--my favorite meal of all
Grilled steak, fresh Greek salad, and artisan bread--yum!
