After a stop at the nearby pastry shop, we headed back to the airport to pick up a rental car. Mike had left his poster canister in our hotel closet, so we had to take two trains back to the hotel to retrieve it! We locked our belongings in the trunk of the rental car at Avis before returning, so that made the journey back less burdensome.
This was Mike's first attempt at driving in the UK, so it was a bit unnerving driving on the left side of the road! Naturally, we arrived in Leeds later than anticipated, but we made it here safe and sound and found our dorm room at Charles Morris Hall at the University of Leeds. The room is quite small, but at least the bed seems wider than a twin. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Refectory on campus, just a few blocks from our dorm. The food's okay but certainly nothing to brag about.
