June 30, 2019: London England--Harrods Department Store

June 30th: After breakfast at our hotel, we went in search of the local  LDS church that was scheduled for 10:30am, but we got lost on the way and got to church 45 minutes late. Still, we heard two great talks in sacrament meeting and had a wonderful Sunday School lesson for all the visitors. It was the highlight of our day to hear heartfelt testimonies from strangers--mostly from America and the UK.

After church, we went to Harrods Department Store to look around. It is so big and so fancy and expensive! And their food court is crazy and amazing. Maybe one day we'll eat there.

We saw this cool memorial near Hyde Park (by Kensington Palace)
on our way to Harrods Department Store
Harrods is HUGE, and their food court is amazing--this is the produce section
This is the dessert section
This is the hot food section. There's also a meat section,  a cheese section,
a bread section, a drink section, etc. It was overwhelming.
The Harry Potter figures and other toys were awesome

Beautiful elevator--the inside has copper walls and marble floors

The elevator floor. I think it's marble, but it looks like inlaid wood.

Such a fun store to get lost in!
Cool Egyptian carvings and reliefs in the central escalator area

This gorgeous stained glass picture is on one of the ceilings
And so is this one

June 29, 2019: London England--The British Museum

June 29th: We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet in the hotel dining room this morning. I was anxious to go back to the Odeon Theater to see if anyone had miraculously found my wallet--or returned it, so we hurried to the Metro and then to the theater. I walked up to the counter and asked if anyone had found my little black wallet since last night, and the employee said YES! I was elated and knew that this little miracle was a tender mercy from my Heavenly Father who loves me and who answers humble, sincere prayer.

Mike was genuinely surprised about the whole thing. He said that he didn't think it was possible for me to get my wallet back. He had prayed that I would be able to let it go and to forget about it, since he didn't want me to be upset or discouraged any more. I told him that I had only prayed to get my wallet back! So we had a good laugh about it, and we were extremely grateful for this wonderful blessing from above. As soon as we could find a place to sit, we said a prayer of thanks and gratitude for a loving Heavenly Father who looks over us and helps us along the way.

This was a busy day for us. We went to the British Museum, where Mike was anxious to see the Rosetta Stone again. The place is HUGE and bustling with people.
