Mike and I took two days to drive to Palo Alto CA for our oldest grandson, Mario's, baptism, which was scheduled on November 14th! We left on the12th and stayed overnight in a hotel in Bakersfield, a very smelly city with oil refineries and plenty of stinky cattle. Even the air and sky looked somewhat foggy and discolored. We went out to dinner and to a movie while in Bakersfield. We were happy to leave the area and head north towards Jared and Jenny's place the following morning.

Can you see the joy and excitement in Mario's sweet face and eyes?

Oh! Thanks for sharing all of those fun pictures of your time in California. I was so sad we weren't able to make it to Mario's baptism. Looks like he had a wonderful baptismal day! What a sweet little family! I miss those guys!
