November 13-15, 2015: Mario's Baptism in Palo Alto CA

Mike and I took two days to drive to Palo Alto CA for our oldest grandson, Mario's, baptism, which was scheduled on November 14th! We left on the12th and stayed overnight in a hotel in Bakersfield, a very smelly city with oil refineries and plenty of stinky cattle. Even the air and sky looked somewhat foggy and discolored. We went out to dinner and to a movie while in Bakersfield. We were happy to leave the area and head north towards Jared and Jenny's place the following morning.

We saw this huge cantaloupe while out grocery shopping with Jared's family
It's a lot bigger than Mario's head!

Our oldest son, Jared, dressed in white to perform Mario's baptism
with Mario following behind him in his white jumpsuit

I think Mario looks pretty excited and happy for the occasion!

Can you see the joy and excitement in Mario's sweet face and eyes?

Mario and Milo sang "I Know that my Savior Loves Me,"
and Mario sang the second half of the song as a solo! I was so impressed and proud of him!
I was also privileged to sing "Baptism" during the baptismal program.

Oh! Thanks for sharing all of those fun pictures of your time in California. I was so sad we weren't able to make it to Mario's baptism. Looks like he had a wonderful baptismal day! What a sweet little family! I miss those guys!
