Mid-May 2016: Herbs, Friends, and Albuquerque Homes

May 15th: I hadn't been in the backyard for weeks, and I discovered that our herbs were getting too tall. I needed to wash them, trim them, and then dry them in the microwave--the most fun part! I love having fresh herbs ready to use in my cooking.

Oregano, Rosemary, Lemon Balm and Mint, and Parsley and Cilantro ready for drying
May 22nd: Gabriel Zavala, one of my Cub Scouts from a few years back, now 11 years old
He and his family came to stay with us for a mutual friend's wedding from the Cherry Hills Ward
Alexander, Gabriel, and Maricela Zavala in our front yard on their last day with us
The sun was bright that morning!
May 22nd: Lindsay DeGolyer gave her missionary farewell talk in sacrament meeting and had an Open House that day

Lindsay with her parents, Eric and Tami DeGolyer
May 26th: I drove to the Primrose Pointe neighborhood and took photos of some gorgeous homes
If I could build a home in Albuquerque, this would be one of my top picks for neighborhoods
Unfortunately, you have to be a millionaire to afford a home there!

Even the empty lots cost too much
