7/19/2010-7/24/2010 YM High Adventure
We backpacked in from the Santa Barbara campground to Truchas Lake. The next day we summited the 2nd highest peak in NM, Truchas Peak. We then hiked to Peco's Baldy Lake and summited Peco's Baldy. It started raining on us as we climbed the mountain. The Burton's and I made shelter in a crevice in the mountain, sang church hymns until the rain stopped, climbed to the top of Peco's Baldy, and ran back to camp in time to spend the rest of the day and night in our tents while it rained again! |
