April-May 2017: Beautiful grandchildren and more celebrations

April 1st: One of my favorite hot breakfasts: homemade hashbrowns, eggs, and fresh fruit

April 3rd: Mike and I wend on a double date with Alec and Denice Smith to celebrate Denice's birthday
at Texas Roadhouse, where she "rode the bull" with her birthday sundae!

April 13th: Ready for company and dinner on a lovely spring evening

May 6th: Babysitting Eli and Joey. Poor little guy always seemed to have a runny nose.
But you couldn't ask for a sweeter or more patient and happy little guy. I miss him and his brother Joey!

May 12th: Babysitting Eli and Joey again. I LOVE these precious boys and miss them playing at our house!

May 13th: My niece, Natalie Pitcher, while working at Red Robin Restaurant where we saw her a few times.
She has since moved to Denver Colorado, so we'll miss seeing her!

May 16th: Celebrating Hannah's 2nd birthday at Menchies' Frozen Yogurt with Jessica and Shauna and 3-year old Elise. We had self-serve frozen yogurt, watched Hannah open her gifts, then walked the short distance to Pet Land to see some critters. The girls had a blast running around the pet shop!

Jess got the girls little bags with small puppies for their party favors, and Hannah was a little Diva for the night--a lot of attitude for such a little Dunlap!

May 18th: Tyler graduated from his preschool and had a graduation party. Here are some cute pictures of him and his preschool class. Tyler is now in Kindergarten and doing great.

May 23rd-27th-: I babysat Jacob and Shauna's children while they went to New York. Tyler and Elise were wonderful and easy to take care of. Sam and Kiley were in the middle of trying to pack and clean their apartment for their move to Texas, so I had their boys during part of this time as well.

May 25th: Jessica and the Dunlap trio joined us for lunch at Wendy's

After lunch, I took Elise and Tyler to the park. Elise LOVED this swing!

Tyler, Elise, and Eli asleep on their thick layer of bedding on my bedroom rug--too cute!

May 27th: Bath time and bath toys for Else and Tyler

May 27th: Tyler plays with cousin Joey and sister Elise. It's funny how the boys are TRYING to smile for the camera!

Summer photo of Jennifer and Chris Locke's gorgeous children:  Abraham, Abigail, and Isadora. They live in Eagle Mountain, Utah. Jennifer is the eldest daughter of my twin sister, Cathy Lemmon.

January-March 2017: Winter wonderland, old friends, family, and delicious meals

January seems like such a LONG time ago now. We had a few snow falls after the holidays that was fun to see. And we ate a lot of yummy food, entertained friends, and did a little babysitting here and there for the kids.

Front yard with newly fallen dusting of snow
Back yard with the same white powder
January 8th: A very LARGE pan of hearty Cabbage & Noodles for dinner--yum!
January 11th: Mike's old missionary companion, Ken Beck, was down here from Colorado for work. This is the second time we got to have him over for a visit. He is such a nice guy! He brought us a little chocolate cake from his favorite bakery.

January 19th: Sam, Kiley, and Eli Hobbs. I think I was babysitting this day.
January 25th: Jessica Dunlap over for a visit. Looks like we're making something in the kitchen....
February 5th dinner: BBQ ribs, roasted red spuds, fresh green beans w/bacon, and steamed cabbage & carrots
February 13th: Mike's early Valentine's Day meal: Lobster tails, pan-fried spuds, and ribeye steak!
February 18th: Celebrating Elise's 3rd birthday at Dion's with all the Wallace and Hobbs families
Happy Birthday our beautiful and sweet little Elise! You are a priceless gem, and we love you SO MUCH!
February 26th: Another tasty meal with: top sirloin steak and roasted carrots & red potatoes
March 3rd: We met our good friends, Jennifer & Mike Park at a crepe restaurant for lunch.
We miss being their home teachers and our monthly visits. They moved into the Albuquerque East Stake.

Their son, Gray Park
March 9th: Family portraits of Sam & Kiley Hobbs and their beautiful boys. Joey (4) and Eli (2) are precious and full of boyish energy. I miss their weekly visits to our home!

March 10th: Lunch with my mother at Japanese Kitchen
March 27th: Mastering the art of baking whole wheat bread
March 29th: Making more homemade bread the same week. We gave most of it away.

March 31st: My baby brother, Vernon Pitcher during a neurology appointment. The girl next to him is Michelle Benefield who works with Providence Inc, the company that owns and manages the group home where Vernon lives.
