November-December 2018: It's raining pajamas!

I think it was in mid or late October that I decided to make flannel pajamas for all my kids and older grandchildren. I spent hundreds of dollars on fabric and even more hours ironing, cutting out patterns, and sewing each pair of pajama sets! Some turned out perfect while others were too long in the arms and legs, and some were too tight! Jessica and Jacob now have pajamas with extra fabric sewn in the crotches and underarms of their p.j.'s. Jessica's set fit like a pair of karate gi's!

I also made two more stockings to add to our family Christmas stocking collection, since we had two new babies since the last stockings I made (see bottom of post). I was a sewing maniac this holiday season.

This was the pattern I used for the babydoll pajamas (picture on far right) I made for my daughters

It's time to decorate for Christmas again this year

November 2018: San Antonio TX Thanksgiving trip with the Dunlap's

Wow, it's hard to go back 6 months to post something on your blog! These are my photos and memories of our Thanksgiving trip to San Antonio to visit Sam's family. It was extra fun to go with the Dunlap's!

Some of the highlights of our trip was of course seeing Sam and Kiley and their three children; staying in their lovely new home; going grocery shopping with them; making meals together; playing games at night; having a delicious and memorable Thanksgiving meal with both families; going on outings with them; bringing home the best Mexican food from Taco Cabana; and feeling the special, peaceful spirit in Sam and Kiley's home.

I also loved that extra time with Jessica's family during our travels when we stopped for gas, food, and potty breaks along the way.

Hudson truly is a loving and caring big brother to Beau and their sisters. This is how they fell asleep in the van!

Miss Hannah was a wonderful traveler, even through the long tiring drive

And baby Sofie hung in there with some screaming and crying along the way

Fun turkey painting cookies for the kids' Thanksgiving activity--thank you Kiley!

Sebastian's favorite activity--sleeping on the sofa (I love the smile on Sofie's face!)
