Last day with the Carver's--October 6th, 2009

Wish I'd taken more photos of Sherry and Doug while they were here, but all I have are ones that were taken the morning I drove them back to the airport, and they're not that good--a bit blurry.
I don't know what Sherry and I are doing here--maybe getting ready for a hug, or maybe I want to punch her for leaving too soon! Ha-ha!
The last full day of their visit, the three of us went to Denny's Restaurant for breakfast. Afterwards, we stopped at an antique mall on the way to the Albuquerque Trolley at historical Old Town. The Trolley ride was a blast! We had a great time riding through and around the city and learning more about Albuquerque's unique culture.

After our fun trolley experience, we hit another antique shop on Central Avenue, then picked up my mom and Shauna for a late lunch at the old Route 66 Diner, also on Central.

I took Sherry and Doug to the Sandia Peak Tram to see if it was operating, since it had been a windy day. We went into the gift shop upstairs and then looked at the city from the base of the Tram, but didn't get to ride the tram to the top because of the wind. We'll have to do that next time...

We went to Trader Joe's instead and bought treats for the evening and for the Carver's plane trip home the next morning. When Mike got home from work, he had a quick dinner, and then we all watched "Angels and Demons" in our bedroom and had popcorn and sweets.

I miss you Sherry and Doug! You two are awesome and so much fun. Thank you so much for coming to Albuquerque and for staying with us. Can't wait to see you guys again!
