February 2015--Great family fun at the Hobbs' house

February 2015: We love having our children over for dinner (and games whenever possible) at least once a month. It's getting harder as more grandchildren come along, and Mike and I grow more old and tired!

Our sweet Shauna and Jacob
Tyler and sister, Elise, at the dinner table

I promised Mike we'd start eating healthier this year, but I haven't stopped buying candy and salty snacks yet. We didn't eat all this junk in one night, but these were some of the bad movie treats!

Junk food galore. It took us more than a few days to eat all this...
One of Mike's favorite sandwiches is grilled cheese and fresh tomatoes on Jalapeno
Cheddar bread. We put two kinds of cheese in each sandwich and add the tomato slices last
Best toasted cheese sandwich!
Mike and I LOVE green salads! This one is a chef salad with homemade
balsamic honey dressing and honey roasted sunflower seeds on top--yum!
A basket of individually wrapped homemade sugar cookies glazed with pink icing
for our ward Primary teachers and leaders, given out at the end of my "sharing time" lesson
More sugar cookies wrapped in heart bags with Valentine pencils
and candy for our ward Primary children in junior and senior Primary
One of our interesting dinner meals consisted of egg rolls, feta chicken, and beef and pepper stir-fry
Colorful fried rice!
Extra large homemade wheat rolls that served as hamburger buns
Fat burgers with melted cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, and pickles
February 13th: Peter and Kaleb Anderson, best pals
The awesome Anderson family from Cherry Hills Ward--Heather and Arden and sons: Peter, Kaleb, Kai, and Zane

February 14th: Mike and I went out with the Sorensen's for a late lunch at a new Azuma Japanese Grill
This guy was not Japanese and the rice was nothing to brag about, but he was funny
Rob and Marie Sorensen and me
We all ate too much, but it was a fun time out together ;-)
