August 1, 2015: Day 2 in London cont'd--Madame Tussaud, Harrods, Piccadilly Circus

Next on our list was Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, which involved standing in line for hours. Once we got in, it was well worth the wait--celebrities galore! Some of them looked very life-like, but they all look extremely air-brushed.

At the end of the day we went to Harrods Department Store where we picked up a few overpriced souvenirs. Afterwards, we visited Piccadilly Circus.
Near the entrance to Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum
Three faces/roles of Helen Miren
The one on the left looked the most realistic--probably because she's not
portraying a character but is simply being her Academy Award winning self

Everything was FRESH and EXPENSIVE in the food court
My mother would have LOVED the seafood and the very large prawns
See how big the prawns are compared to the smaller one in the center
Piccadilly Circus on London's West End, is such a lively place to visit
Mike's dinner at the Aberdeen Steak Houses consisted of crispy French fries
topped with chicken smothered in a cheese sauce with bacon and mushrooms
I had a ribeye steak with garlic mushrooms
For our sides, Mike had a Greek salad, and I had a Caesar salad
