October 20-25, 2021: Nevada trip

I was excited to join Cathy and Howard Lemmon on their Nevada trip and to spend time with them and their daughter Raquel and hubby Kobin Kempe. Cathy went to Las Vegas to attend a free real estate conference that was sponsored by the Weichert Realtors group that she works with in Tennessee.

We went to a Mike Hammer comedy and magic show the first night; helped Cathy's close friend, Darla Hayden, with a service project at her nonprofit business; attended an endowment session together at the Las Vegas Temple; checked out Lake Mead and Hoover Dam; went to a Cirque du Soleil "Beatles Love" performance; walked through the Venetian Hotel and the Las Vegas strip; and ate out together several times. We also played games in their hotel room a couple nights. It was wonderful to see them!

 

While in Nevada, we stayed with our close friends, Rob and Marie Sorensen whol had just moved into their home in Henderson. We were so happy and grateful to stay with them and to spend some time together when we weren't with the Lemmon's. We also spent time with their daughter Lauri and her sweet family in Henderson. Mike took some silly photos of their boys.

On our last night in Henderson, Lauri invited us for a delicious dinner consisting of French Dip sandwiches, a Caesar salad, fresh strawberries, and brownies with ice cream. She is the friendliest party queen! We love her and her awesome kids.
