June 2025: Family photos, Vernon's 55th birthday, our flowers and vegetable garden, and Father's Day

Cute photos of Jacob's family that may not have made it into my earlier blogs. Looks like last fall?

Spring 2025 photos?

A few vacation photos of Jacob's family this summer

Jessica's pretty face and grown out hair this year

Love these smiles at my mom's birthday outing with Jack Babbitt

I think he treated her at Red Lobster and Jacquie got them laughing!

Swimming fun!

Enjoying a cold treat together

Our neighbor's contractor accidentally backed into our east entrance wall and crushed it pretty badly! It took him weeks to get the wall rebuilt and looking decent again.

Some beautiful photos of Jared's family. Spring 2024?

Jared's new puppy, Bear, at home in Salt Lake City. He's is so adorable (and so is Jared)! Bear has a lot more energy than Chloe too.

Sunday, June 1st: Celebrating Vernon's 55th birthday
I made a chocolate layer cake with cream cheese frosting. The top was decorated with chopped walnuts and fresh sliced strawberries (right before serving). Poor Vernon was cycling and not in a good mood. But his caregivers, Rosy and Nina, made it fun!

Adorable cake that Nina bought from Whole Foods and the cute candles that Jacquie bought. Jacquie also bought Vernon a cake! She kept it for her boys after learning that we already had a cake for him.

Time to cut Vernon's cake. It was huge!

We left my mom a chunk of the cake and took the rest home to share with our kids. It was rich and yummy. I think Mike ate most of it!

Our zucchini, cucumber, and cherry tomato plants are growing

Our green bell pepper, tomato, and basil plants are coming along too

A closeup of the cherry tomato plant

Little zucchinis growing. This one plant ended up producing the largest and most plentiful crop of zucchinis!

The side of our clubhouse plants from last year

The west side of our backyard plants look great

We added a few new plants this spring and moved others around

I love the color of this purple Autumn Sage

This spinach and basil came from our garden!

Making pizza dough in our bread maker

I rolled out the dough and baked it halfway

Added a good marinara sauce

Mozzarella cheese

BBQ beef and bacon

Lots of fresh spinach

Red roasted peppers and Italian olives

Fresh mushrooms, sea salt, and Ialian seasonings

And a sprinkle of cheeses before baking

Delicious!
