May 26th: On this Memorial Day, Mike and I decided to check out Cabezon Peak by hiking it! He packed a backpack with plenty of water and snacks, and then we drove out to Bernalillo for hearty breakfast burritos before heading out to our destination, which was ten miles past San Ysidro, NM.

| Such a beautiful area! We made it at least halfway up because of that second chimney. Next time we'll take ropes and lasso our way to the top! |

| The most difficult part of the climb was up this 2nd chimney Mike made it up, but I stayed and waited for his return |
