This gorgeous terrarium and beautiful card was a gift from Jennifer Ensz, which she gave me at Jessica's house during our May 20th farewell luncheon. Inside the terrarium, there are delicate ferns, a little birdhouse decoration, pebbles, and soil at the bottom. I added the small, white glass turtle on the left side of the bowl. What a sweet, thoughtful gift from my Mennonite "sister" whom I will always love and cherish.
May through June: A bounteous sweet red cherry harvest from one big tree! Mike must have been up and down that old cherry tree over a dozen times this year. Each day, the cherries were darker and sweeter! He also picked all the perfect cherries from our young new cherry tree.

May 29th: Patti Waseta and I helped out in our stake's Cub Scout Day Camp for part of one day. In the Science class, the boys learned about bridges and then got to create their own bridge out of toothpicks and mini marshmallows. Patti's bridge was the winner! The boys were darling, and Patti was such a good sport to join me. I love you Patti Lou!

Mike put in a spring garden again earlier this year, so we've been picking LOTS of baby salad greens from our garden boxes--all sorts of lettuces and spinach. Our bunny has been spoiled from all the fresh organic leaves, and we've loved eating the freshest salads with our meals all week!
I also picked bucketsful of spinach; washed the leaves and roots; and froze them to enjoy later. My mother loved getting her own bucketful of fresh spinach too ;-).

May 31st: Summer Special Olympics with my baby brother, Vernon Pitcher! He was part of team Providence Support. Vernon lives in one of the group homes owned by Providence on the west side of town. Jaime Benefield is the owner and director.
