Mike and I really love fresh squeezed orange juice at home, inspired by Jenny Hobbs who swears that it will keep you from getting sick! I'm all in!
We celebrated Beau's 8th birthday on February 12th at his house with a Harry Potter themed party and hoagies and fruit for dinner. On the 17th, we invited the Dunlap's to join their cousins for a "play date" at our house so that we could wish Elise a happy birthday and have the kids hit the "golden snitch" piñata that Jessica had made for Beau's birthday party (but everyone was too full of sugar and it had got too late).
We also celebrated Elise's 7th birthday on February 20th at our house. She had a unicorn themed party and piñata. The cousins love any excuse to get together, and the birthday kids had fun eating, opening presents, and hitting their piñatas along with their siblings and cousins.

March 3rd: I made a homemade chicken pot pie with a butter crust and had Jacob's family over to sample it. Paired it with a green salad, and voila'! |
 |
| March 4th: My attempt at making a Chocolate Mousse Cake for Peggy Dunlap (and the Dunlap and Stoddard gang) to celebrate Peggy's birthday this month started with 3 chocolate cakes from scratch, a chocolate glaze between each layer, and a generous amount of chocolate whipped cream filling between each layer and all over. I didn't actually make any chocolate mousse for the cake, but the chocolate whipped cream was a great substitute. Then I drizzled more chocolate glaze on top and squiggled more chocolate whipped cream on top of the glaze. Mercy! |
