April 2016: Trip to Atlanta Georgia and my visit with Johnny Pitcher

April 23rd-29th: When Mike got the chance to attend some workshops in Atlanta GA, we jumped on the opportunity to make this trip happen--for two reasons: 1. We'd never stayed in Atlanta before, and 2. My step-brother, Johnny Pitcher lives there! I was so glad that we could finally visit him and spend some quality time together. Since we arrived late our first night, we rested up at the hotel and planned to see Johnny the next morning.

Saturday, April 23rd: Our room at the Regency Suites Hotel was very nice and comfortable, with a little kitchenette

Sunday, April 24th: Our first day in Atlanta, we drove to Marietta to meet Johnny and his 3 little Shitzu's

The sofa where I spent most of my visits with Johnny! It was always great when Mike would join us, because then Johnny would have someone interesting to talk to, and the two of them would exchange ideas and laugh all evening!

The upper part of the patio has a large covered pool with hand-painted murals for the backdrop

New chair cushions for our visit! Johnny likes to smoke his Cuban cigars out here

Johnny and Mike ordered yummy Scallops, Shrimp, and Pasta at Johnny's favorite Asian restaurant in Marietta

This was my rather disappointing version of Chicken Marsala

Monday, April 25th: Johnny picked me up at the hotel and treated me out for a hearty breakfast at Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles restaurant--the BIGGEST chicken wings ever! Johnny is such a sweetheart and a loving big brother!

Mike met us at Johnny's house after his workshops. After visiting in his home, we enjoyed dinner at Ted's Montana Grill
